Awards
Pear Noir! is
pleased to announce the Black Pear Awards. The first
place winner in each of the following categories
will receive $100, publication in our next issue,
and a lifetime subscription to Pear Noir!:
Burlesque Comedy
Creative Nonfiction
Magical Realism
Speculative Fiction
To enter, paste
your submission, along with your address and a short
biography, in the body of an email and send it to
pearnoir [at] gmail [dot] com. We do not open
attachments. Be sure to format the subject line as
follows: "Black Pear Awards / (category - e.g.,
Magical Realism)." Unfortunately, we cannot accept
simultaneous submissions or reprints for this competition.
Honorable mentions may be offered publication in our
next issue. Note: If a work of exceptional literary
merit cannot be found for one of the aforementioned
categories, an award will not be presented in that
category.
